What is Soul Guardian?

"God, please help me", George murmurs, holding his head in his hands. "My boss is on my back again today, the kids have chicken pox, and my wife and I fought again last night. My mind is racing and I can't hear you. I just don't know what to do." Lifting his head, his eyes fall on the bible on the corner of his desk. It reminds him of last Sunday's sermon - the only part that stuck in his mind. He whispers to himself, "Isaiah 26:3: You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you."

At that instant, unseen by George, his guardian angel strikes the final blow to a banshee that had been shrieking in George's mind. Wailing its defeat, the banshee vanishes in a stench of sulfur. Wiping sweat from his face, the unseen angel looks affectionately at George. "Thanks, George, we really needed that!"

The purpose of Soul Guardian is to provide an extremely fun way to teach Christian principles, while providing a clean alternative to the various role-playing games out there.

Soul Guardian is a role-playing/strategy game system. It is an ever-growing series of board games that all have the same basic rules. Remember Dungeons and Dragons? This is similar, but based on Christian principles. It is meant to be played with three or more people.

Like most role-playing games, Soul Guardian has a complicated set of rules that will take some time to learn. It isn't like sitting down and playing a quick game of Checkers. A single game can take anywhere from 5 hours to 5 days (most people don't play at a single stretch). I hope that for those of you who love epic adventure stories, and have the patience to learn a complicated game, Soul Guardian will be a deeply enriching experience.
